End your week with some ambition

End your week with a bang!

End your week with a bang!

Maybe Friday isn’t the best time to start new projects - but it is a good time to start dreaming.

Be a little ambitious on a Friday afternoon. Ask yourself, “What if things were different… what if I could do anything?” Would you do things the way you’ve been doing them today?

What’s stopping you from doing the things you dream of? How can you make your dreams into a reality?

Thing BIG. Don’t hold back, knock yourself out. Go crazy! If you aim high and don’t achieve everything, but you achieve something, you stand to do a lot better than if you aim low and achieve a little.

A great thing about ambition is that it spurs you on. Don’t let a lofty goal get you down - find a way to reach new heights. If you don’t keep pushing yourself, you risk getting stuck in a rut.

Another great thing is that if ambition spurs you on, it motivates you to have a productive weekend, and will carry you into the next week with renewed energy and enthusiasm.

Always be looking for the next thing you can do to improve the things you’re involved with. I do this a lot, and I never rest. I’m always busy, but I’m always thinking of new things to do, ways to get better. It’s a very rewarding experience.

Why not try it?

This is a fantastic attitude, Ben! I always find I’m most productive and motivated Thursday through Sunday so tend to make those days my working week. This allows time to just gather my scattered brain cells in the earlier week days. (Yay for freelancing flexibility!)

It can, however, be a struggle to focus and I’ve found that is where planning ahead for coming projects can be vital. If I begin the day (or working week) knowing which projects I will spend my time upon and what specific actions need to be taken towards my goals I get a great deal more accomplished and spend far less time procrastinating.

One of the biggest causes I’ve found of procrastination is uncertainty. It’s great to have many projects in process but challenging when I can’t decide which to work on when.

I LOVE your comment, “If you aim high and don’t achieve everything, but you achieve something, you stand to do a lot better than if you aim low and achieve a little.” It reminds me of a guest post I wrote for the Ben at Blogging Experiment, “Aim High; Shoot Low“!
